Adoption update: no new news from Nepal but we are hopeful. We are staying busy(thus the 3rd benefit Concert) and running tons.....it's been 2.5 yrs or so since we started the adoption journey.......waiting is not my strength but maybe I just don't see myself as having patience.

No new news from Nepal but we did finish our parenting classes yesterday. At least for Nepal.

I dreamt of 2 Fox last night. One was zipping around and one was trying to bite my wrist. taking it as a good sign of babies to come.

We are gearing up for the 3rd Concert for Cash. looking for Bands.....all suggestions welcome.

Can't wait to get that phone call and hear about our grommies.

Nepal Update

Well,
We are waiting, for the match to come via phone from our agency. It's crazy to think that our kids are in Nepal, just waiting for us to come pick them up. I have joined a Yahoo group that has others who are also adopting from Nepal. Everyday there seem to be more matches made. Well at least until this round of Holidays in Nepal started.
We are working on the house and yard.....getting ready. It's so hard not to buy baby clothes or diapers....but we have no idea what our kids will need yet.

As you know, we put in for 2 kids. So universe....if there are 2 babies in Nepal that need us for parents...we are READY!!!!!!!!!!

Our Paperwork has been sent off to NEPAL!!!!!!! OK, thank you for all the well wishes. We feel it really we do.

prayers need to go out to the Nepalese govt to get a Prime Minister soon to start up the matching process...it can't be long now.

we are almost at the fingerprinting stage for Nepal. then when that happens it's 4-6 weeks until we get the LAST FORM!!!!!!! Then our stuff gets sent to NEPAL!!!!!!

Cash's Healing garden dedication

HI, it's taken a while to come down form all the excitement around the garden dedication, family surprising us bu flying in!!! and the actuality that this chapter is done and we are moving forward to babies from Nepal and China...

The Fox and Betty

HI, So i ran into the Fox on Friday am while running with Stripey. I know Cashie was just making sure his Mommy was ok and had a good weekend.

Betty Lipton said he vivists me. i think she was surprized when I said he was here this morning. We are working on our paperwork for the Nepal Adoption. Very exciting, so much paper!!!!!!

Whatever it takes to get our son backwith us.

The Boulder Bolder heart attatck man is ok.

Boulder Bolder 2009

Page and I just ran the Boulder Boulder for the 2nd year. We ran last year as a way to just get thru. and this year was really not that different.



An older man collaped in front of us while running the race. page was on his phone calling 911 and I was trying to get him rolled over with the help of other runners and check if he was breathing. the paramedics came, the ambulance came, we don't know if he is ok but they did get his heart restarted. it happened in a flash and i just can only pray that this mans family know where he is now.
i hope he's ok.

life can go in a flash, just like that and i hope to take more time with those I love make more of an effort . even with all we have been thru......this man was just running the freakin boulder bolder. please let's all have a little more time with our families and friends. even if they drive us batty. just send the love their way today.

Cash Healing Garden

It's built!!!!!!!!!! I am still in shock that we actually did it. With a lot of help from everyone but the garden at Children's Hospital is finished. except for a few details like engraving the bench...it's done.

Invites are out :

June 14Th at 11am at The Children's Hospital in Aurora, Co

we will meet at the main entrance and walk over together.

Holly Anderson, our Children's hero and friend, will be there to assist in getting everyone a visitors pass for the event.

I miss my son and there is not a day that goes by right now that I am not stunned by my memories of 2 years ago when Cashie was here with us on Earth. I miss holding my Baby. Beanie. I miss hiking with him. I miss watching Page give him baths and being the best Daddy ever! I just miss my kid. Waiting to be together again is so hard......I so know why people really fall apart when this happens to them. I know it's ok to fall apart but something is holding me together about 75% of the time and I think that's a freakin' miracle.

So know that as the garden gets built and we get ready for it's dedication ceremony this summer(dates to follow) that it's hard waiting and eating all the M+M's that are on the planet. I am so not kidding.

God love you Cashie...for it is you that holds me together . It's you!!! I am blessed to be his Mom. Really I am .

Page and I picked out boulders for Cashie's Healing Garden yesterday with Nicole from Urban Farmer(the Landscaping Company that is doing the installation of the garden). to clarify: I did the design, Urban Farmer is digging the holes. It's pretty nice being the client I have found.

We hope these boulders fit well within the garden and hat many kids have tons of fun playing on them.

I miss my little kiddo today but this is the next step to being a mom, with kids here on Earth, so I have to keep my chin up, wipe my tears, and just trust that Joy is on it's way to us. In the form of kids.

China info: we are just in line for our babies....the wait could be long......pray for Godspeed in China.

Cash's Healing Garden!!!!!!

We met with Urban Farmer and Holly at Children's this am to talk gardens. It is going to be AMAZING!!!! Page and I are really excited about how easy this seems to be with Urban Farmer, much easier than the China paperwork. Which is now in CHINA!!!!!! They are on their way home, I can feel it. My mom, Gammy extraordinaire, always send us a note in Late Jan to remind us that after the dark, cold winter Spring always emerges. Well, I feel it today!

Thank you Cashie for helping Mommy and daddy thru this hard winter .....we just can't wait to hold yo again. And your sister:)))

So Page and I were out for a run last night, in the dark, with the puppies. We really never run together during the week and NEVER run at night...but as we passed a street in Wheatridge Spider spotted the fox. Just sitting in the middle of the road. looking cool and comfortable and not a bit scared of the huge dogs so close to him. We said hi and watched as he sniffed around and the ran off.
I know it's just Cashie telling Mommy and Daddy to keep being patient that he's on his way back to us. I get so sad at times. My doctor even told me about this stuff Sam-e to take that will help more than St Johns wort. It is helping, along with running and everything else. I just want to be Mommy in real life. Not just mommy in spirit some days. My Faith is so strong and at times I wonder how much stronger it needs to be for my kid to come back into my arms.
I just miss you Beanie. Please come home soon.

So, this morning I am wearing my TeamCash Tshirt and as Cullin and I were eating breakfast, he points to my chest and says "Baby Cash!" .... pause "He can come to my house?"

Jan 22 update-embrace the pain

So, it's 9 more days until this Benefit Concert. Do you have your tix?

We ran the Rock n Roll Marathon this past Sunday in Phoenix. What a great experience. not going to say those last 6 miles were not so hard but I just kept telling myself: I can do anything for 6 miles. Plus there was so much support. There was even a sign that said " Embrace the Pain" I just laughed because that is all you can do when your legs are lead and you want to quit.

And that was all on Cashie's 2ND Bday. Happy Birthday Beanie. I just miss you so much kid but I know you are always with Mommy.
